The disassembly process is necessary for both cleaning and lubricating the weapon, and for determining the serviceability of the weapon. To disassemble the carbine, you must perform the following procedures:&

&label3=Release buffer&
&label4=Remove and separate buffer and action spring&
&label5=Extend buttstock assembly to full open position&
&label6=Separate buttstock from lower receiver extension&

one-quarter turn and lifting it out. Then pull the bolt assembly out from the carrier.&
&popText2=Remove the extractor pin by pushing it out with the firing pin. Lift out the extractor and spring.&
&popText3=Release the buffer by pressing in on the face of the buffer while depressing the buffer retaining pin.&
&popText4=Remove the buffer and action spring and then separate the buffer from the spring.&
&popText5=Extend the buttstock assembly to the full open position by pressing the lock release lever while pulling the buttstock assembly rearward.&
&popText6=Grasp the lock release lever and pull downward and slide the buttstock to the rear to separate the buttstock assembly from the lower receiver extension.&
